Mashable’s interview with CEO Kevin Bruner doesn’t reveal many details on the third season, but more information will come at the 2016 Comic Con International. Bruner also added the following: “From a role-playing, interactive storytelling point of view, it is not from the bag of tricks that we’ve ever shown anybody before.”

The developers do not only care about the continuity of the title, but also in attracting newcomers to the series that had not experience Telltale’s concept before : “It allows people who maybe haven’t played the first two seasons to come in and get up to speed really quickly. But it definitely respects, honors, and facilitates all of the various end points that Season 2 had.”
