The publisher will follow up 2006’s Test Drive Unlimited with TDU2, due for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

The game looks set to evolve its Massively Open Online Racing (MOOR) formula in “dynamic world of unique content and challenges.”
Eden Games will once again take the reins in a sequel which will offer a brand new island setting, vehicle damage, weather effects, and day/night cycles.

Eden’s “finely tuned driving technology” promises an authentic racing experience coupled with extensive customisation features allowing players to define their in-game persona.

“After the highly successful Test Drive Unlimited which redefined the genre with massively open online racing, Test Drive Unlimited 2 will be an innovative evolution in racing games, expanding its unparalleled multiplayer experience and immersing players in a world full of new online content and lifestyle customization.” said Atari’s Jeff Lapin.
“The game fits squarely into our strategy of moving online and generating new revenue streams while maintaining our current retail business.”
