In the case you hadn’t noticed, we ‘ere at IncGamers think that Edmund McMillen’s The Binding of Isaac is a bit of all right. We think is much a bit of all right that we named it in our top 25 games of 2011 honours list (the most prestigious awards in all of Internet-ville).
So, you can understand our excitement as we tell you that the game could be coming to a Nintendo 3DS near you.
“A publisher I know is currently asking Nintendo if they would be OK with Isaac on the 3DS,” McMillen said. “If they say yes, then I’ll hand the game off to them and let them port it.”
He went on to say that releases on other platforms (XBLA, PSN, iOS, Android etc) were not worth holding out for, before adding that he and his team would not port the game themselves.
“The only other system you might ever see Isaac on is the 3DS, and that will only happen if a company ports the game itself.”
The Binding of Isaac is a 2D RPG of sorts that launched on PC Sepetember 2011. McMillen is also one of the co-founders of Team Meat (Super Meat Boy).
