The Division now scheduled for Q1 2016

The Division

In a not particularly surprising move, The Division has shifted from a proposed late 2015 release date to a window in early 2016. Release dates are one of the very few things of value (from a games news point of view) in financial quarterlies, and that is indeed where this information has come from.

Ubisoft’s graph-and-chart filled summary sheet contains a few details about Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate (announced and revealed earlier today) and a slide about The Division which puts it in ‘Q4 FY 2015.’ FY there stands for ‘Financial Year,’ which means the game’s new window of release is Q1 2016 (because financial year quarters are weird.)

More specifically, this means Ubisoft thinks it’ll be released somewhere between January and March 2016.

It’s possible we’ll see more narrated walkthroughs of The Division at this years E3 event, as they’ve tended to crop up at other major trade events.
