A short message from the collective of development studios behind The Division confirms that the game is currently scheduled for release in 2015. That’s probably not too much of a surprise, as I think any kind of 2014 date had already been ruled out.

“We are creating something we are really proud of and we don’t want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it’s ready,” the post reads. Which is good news, because the alternative is making a game they aren’t proud of where the quality has been compromised. That would be rubbish.

The Division will be turning up at E3 in some capacity, as they also say “we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to at this year’s E3.”

Not much else to add to that really, as the game is still a substantial distance from release. If you’ve missed the video showing the Snowdrop Engine, that might be worth a look from a technical point of view.
