CD Projekt RED showed off a new trailer today during Night City Wire — the livestream for Cyberpunk 2077. It’s called ‘The Gig’, and it covers the first three quests of the game. There aren’t too many actual spoilers, but it’s clear enough that the job doesn’t quite go down as planned.

If you’re not looking to get spoiled, it might be best to avoid the trailer for now. However, the approximately two-minute long clip doesn’t show too much — just enough to whet the appetite. In the trailer, we see protagonist V and his BFF Jackie Welles take a job. Contracts, as explained in Night City Wire, are used to fatten your wallet with enough dough to gradually modify your cybernetic body.

The ultimate goal for taking jobs and modifying yourself is to get you closer to the a particular piece of tech. The “chip of immortality,” as it’s called, is the magical McGuffin fueling your drive in Cyberpunk 2077. Completing missions will apparently allow you to decrease the distance between yourself and your quarry.

Mad V

The trailer shows off not just Night City, but the world around it. Surrounding the city is the badlands, a dry, barren district that CD Projekt designed to provide you a different type open-world content. In the city, it’s all technology, corporate greed, and corruption. Outside, in the Badlands, you drive around on open terrain in your car or motorcycle, assumingly performing tasks for the poor and downtrodden.

You can check out the entire trailer above. Or, if you have 30 minutes to spare, you can catch the entire Night City Wire show for Cyberpunk 2077 here. CD Projekt ended its show by revealing that another episode of Night City Wire is only three weeks away. Cyberpunk 2077 missed its initial release date of September, and will now be available for PC on November 19.
