The Secret World diary video hints at temporary free-to-play period

In a rather odd diary-style developer video, Funcom’s Joel Bylos appears to announce a temporary end to subscription fees for The Secret World. It’s kind of hard to be sure amongst all the Mayan prophecy paranoia and mockumentary tone, but the final few minutes address Bylos’ desire to call a halt to subscriptions.

Is any of this real? Who knows, but it does hint at at least a temporary end to subscription fees; perhaps temporarily until 21 December.
