The Secret World gets June release date

Ahh, summer. The smell of fresh-hewn grass, the sounds of distant village cricketers and the unrelenting paranoia about illuminati plots to take over the world. Yes, Funcom couldn’t have chosen a better season to release its forthcoming MMO The Secret World.
That magic date is 19 June, which gives plenty of time for a beta period or two in between now and then. Indeed, Funcom’s Ragnar Tørnquist has this to say on the subject: “Soon we will also be announcing several public beta events where hundreds of thousands of gamers will get to test the game prior to launch”.
So there we go, it’ll soon be time to decide whether you want to hang out with the Templars, the Illuminati or the mysterious ‘Dragon’.
For more about the game, have a look at our developer diary and interview from May 2011. Or watch the ‘Blue Mountain’ video, below.
