Ready to unleash the Kraken? Not particularly that Kraken, but one that can do a withstandable amount of damage anyway. I hope so, because Deck13 has announced that its first major expansion for The Surge 2 isn’t far from release. Players can take on the Kraken expansion starting on Jan. 16. The first trailer is below, and it promises to be as action-packed as the main game.
Where will you take the Kraken?
This new expansion takes place in the VBS Krakow. It’s an old aircraft carrier that’s been decommissioned and turned into a luxurious spot for the wealthy. It used to be an ideal utopia — until a bunch of rogue robots moved in to call it their own.
Now, with the help of the Kraken suit, you’ll need to move in and clean house. But it’s not as easy as it sounds. Along with the dangerous new robo-forces dwelling in the Krakow, you’ll also need to deal with a devastating new boss.
The trailer gives you an idea of what kind of powerhouse the Kraken really is, especially as it crushes the opposition. But you’re not invincible, as the aforementioned boss will show you.
This Kraken pack will actually be available earlier for those that have access to The Surge 2‘s season pass. These players can start playing on Jan. 14 — two days earlier than everyone else. And if you don’t have it yet, don’t worry. You can buy it now for $19.99 and take advantage of additional weapon packs, as well as new expansions to come.
On top of that, a special Premium Edition of The Surge 2 will arrive on Jan. 16. Pricing isn’t available yet, but it’s likely to be around $49.99. It’ll include the main game, along with the Season Pass and a bonus of bonus weapons to take advantage of. Will you step up and see what The Surge 2 has to offer?
