Hammerpoint Games has just announced The War Z, a MMO that will be very similar to DayZ. To those unfamiliar, DayZ is a realistic zombie simulation mod for the army simulator ArmA 2 and its expansion pack, ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead. The two games are so similar, that Hammerpoint pointed out the differences between the two, noting that one is “only a mod for a realistic simulation”, whereas The War Z is a stand-alone MMO.
The War Z will include skill points, levels, FPS, and TPS modes, giant maps, PvE and PvP, service updates, and dedicated public servers. The developers also stated that the game might be released as early as Fall 2012 for PC.
