CD Projekt Red has promised more extensive in-game Witcher 3 footage for Monday, but to fill the Witcher-void until that point they’ve released a scattering of new screenshots. Most of them feature Geralt either horsing around, getting into scrapes or, in one case, levitating a bag with the power of his mind.
Alright, you could argue he’s actually bouncing it in his hand, but magic is all about misdirection. You may also wish to note the suspicious-looking deer in the background on Geralt’s right (click the image to make it larger – you can do that with all of them on this page.)
Here, we see Geralt’s horse looking quite upset. Probably because its face is slightly nearer to the Griffin’s claws than Geralt’s at this particular moment.
Things obviously went okay though, because now they’re chasing the Griffin away. Unless this happened before they pissed it off.
Geralt rides through farmland. You’ll notice he’s now riding a brown horse. What happened to Snowdrop, huh Geralt? Is there a Griffin somewhere with a fat meal?
Now he’s in a town whose main industries appear to be begging, prostitution, unfinished woodwork projects and tiny market stalls. I’m not sure that’s enough to sustain a bustling urban center, but I could be wrong.
Geralt checks a notice board for anybody looking to sell a horse as, predictably, he has once again managed to lose his.
That’s the last time Geralt tries to purchase a horse over the medieval equivalent of Craigslist.
The Witcher 3 is coming to the PC in May.
