The Witcher 3’s New Game Plus mode released on PC

The last of CD Projekt Red’s sixteen freebie add-ons for The Witcher 3 has been released today on PC, adding a New Game Plus mode to the game.

If you’ve concluded one run-through of Geralt’s latest adventure, you can now send him through it all again.

According to CD Projekt’s Marcin Momot, New Game Plus makes all opponents stronger (as you’d expect), and gives players the option to select any difficulty level.

If you finished The Witcher 3 at a level higher than 30, that’s what you’ll start off as in New Game Plus. If you finished the game at a level lower than that, NG+ will bump you up to 30 automatically. Everybody also gets a free Clearing Potion at the start to allow them to experiment with a new character build.

As for what carries over between modes, Momot says “items (excluding: quest items, books & letters, Gwent cards, usable items, trophies), money and alchemy recipes” will be there.
