Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ Coiled Captors DLC adds a shark god boss

At least I think you can call that thing a shark.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Coiled Captors Boss Feature

The first DLC for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has been revealed, Coiled Captors. It expands on the half-serpentine Coiled race that first appears during the story mission, Mortal Coil. Coiled Captors goes live on April 21, and players who purchased either the Chaotic Great Edition or the Season Pass can try it out.

This DLC adds a new replayable dungeon that can be accessed from Dreamveil Overlook. Head over there and check out Vesper’s first Mirror of Mystery to take on the new dungeon. Although you can enter it whenever, the enemies have a baseline level of 13 and they’ll scale to your level all the way to level 40.

At the end of the dungeon awaits a new challenger. The Coiled has trapped the soul of a god into the body of a mighty seawarg. This shark god is called “Chums,” and he has the ability to change into four different forms. By exploring the dungeon and defeating Chums you’ll be able to find new loot including weapons, gear, and cosmetics.

Completing Coiled Captors and taking on Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands‘ newest content will earn you Lost Souls, which can be spent to spin Vesper’s Wheel of Fate. Get lucky and this wheel can reward some of the best loot in the game.

It’s not a story expansion

The Coiled Captors DLC is not a story expansion. Unlike some past Borderlands DLC, this adds new content but doesn’t add much to the existing story or lore. Although players at almost all levels can enjoy it, those that are at the end game will get the most out of it.

This is the first of four DLC that Season Pass owners have to look forward to. As the year progresses, Gearbox will release Glutton’s Gamble, Molten Mirrors, and Shattering Spectreglass. Details regarding these are sparse. They could be content-focused like Coiled Captors or expand upon Wonderlands‘ story.
