Dragon Encounter: Lamoreaux the Frozen Breath (Moon Dragon)
Rewards:

Lamoreaux the Frozen Breath’s army is comprised of 1x Frost Wyrm, 1x Frostheart Phoenix, 1x Norscan Giant, 2x Skin Wolves, 2x Norscan Ice Wolves, 2x Fimir Warriors, 2x Norscan Ice Trolls. Reinforcements include 4x Feral Mammoths.
The good thing about the Lamoreaux battle is that the dragon only fields a few units. The bad news is that most of them are monsters. Still, if you’re going with a lot of spearmen units (anti-large bonus), then you should eke out a victory early on in Total War: Warhammer II‘s campaign. The terrain even works in your favor since you can lock down the pass with your spear wall/checkerboard formation, but do make sure that your line infantry don’t get chucked around mercilessly.
The biggest threat here would be a combination of Lamoreaux, the Frost Wyrm, and the Frostheart Phoenix all zooming straight for your archers. If they do, it’s game over since your ranged line will collapse (this actually caused me to restart the battle a few times). If you can manage to distract Lamoreaux and the Frost Wyrm with Imrik and the Sun Dragon respectively, then your ranged units could burst down the Frostheart Phoenix first before switching to other targets.
Mikaela, as usual, just casts her fire spells (likely at the Norscan Giant or Ice Trolls):
Don’t forget that the Skin Wolves and Ice Wolves may flank you by using the hills, but your Dragon Princes (and an extra spearman unit) should be ready for them. And, lastly, there are the Feral Mammoths to contend with once the main army’s Norscan monsters are on the run.
From the frigid northern wastes to the blazing hot desert sun. Perhaps you could try to take out Gordinar, Champion of the Flame.
