Travelogue: the locations of Skyrim

You may have noticed that the fifth installment in the Elder Scrolls series is released this week (if you haven’t, you’re extremely good at avoiding hype). Bethesda’s latest Skyrim video, likely to be one of the final ones before its release on 11 November, gives us an overview of several locations in the game.
Travel to cosy villages, and be given quests to undertake. Explore underground lakes and be tasked with solving some local problems. Canter through the forests on horseback, and stumble across wise old men who predict you’ll be freeing the realm from ancient evil. It’s tough to get a proper holiday when you’re an RPG protagonist.
There’s no denying that it looks rather pretty, but how will it play? Tim’s on the case, and his review will be up on IncGamers later this week.
Meanwhile, enjoy the serene scenes. There’s also a new developer podcast to enjoy, over at the Skyrim community blog.
