Anybody who has wondered what Tropico’s city-building-meets-corrupt-politics titles are about has an easy way to find today, because Tropico 4 is being given away free. It’s acting as a bit of a lure for the Humble Bundle sale and is said to be free for a “limited time”.
Judging by the countdown on the site itself, that time period looks like “about two more days”. So if you want it, go ahead and claim before 10 September rolls around. The fine print also says you need to redeem the key within seven days of the promotion ending. Oh, and you’ll need a Steam account, because it’s a Tropico 4 Steam key.
As El Presidente knows all too well, nothing is entirely for free. Claiming the key requires you to have a (free) Humble Bundle account, and (if you haven’t already) allowing Humble to ‘link’ with your Steam account. If all of that sounds agreeable, the fourth Tropico game can be yours for no money.
