Twitch has revealed that their account system have been hacked, and has cautioned users to secure their accounts.
Unfortunately, Twitch confirmed some accounts have already been compromised, with hackers getting access to data such as last login, date of birth, and even card information.
Twitch recommends you change your passwords, as they have reset everyone’s accounts, sign back in other accounts you use with Twitch, and change passwords on those accounts too if they used the same password as Twitch. The select few who got targeted by the hack are temporarily disabled from the system, and Twitch will be contacting them shortly.
