And it’s really about time. Skull and Bones has been in the works for nearly a decade, and this week will mark the second time it gets revealed. This re-reveal was apparently sniffed out last week by GamesRadar, which reported that Ubisoft was ready to showcase the game once more. Hopefully, things work out this time.

The Skull and Bones gameplay reveal event starts this Thursday. You can watch it over at Ubisoft’s YouTube channel. It begins at the peculiar time of 1:45 PM ET with a pre-show “full of surprises.” After the pre-show, Ubisoft will begin the stream proper, with “new gameplay, our unique take on piracy, and exclusive behind the scenes with developers.”

Hard to port

Skull and Bones‘ re-reveal will at last shed some more light on the game. The main draw of the online multiplayer game should still be the same as always, however. In Skull and Bones, you play as an up-and-coming pirate captain, working your way from simple ship to mighty fleet. There are enemies, ranging from the government to other pirates, to fight and fortresses to conquer. And, according to the game’s description, the game will have seasons with “new challenges” and stories.

Enter the perilous paradise of Skull & Bones, as you overcome the odds and rise from an outcast to become an infamous pirate. Assemble your very own formidable fleet and use it to build your empire in a visceral world that introduces new challenges, stories and features every season. Gather resources, craft tools and weapons, build your ships and grow your infamy. From the Coasts of Africa to the tropical islands of the East Indies, establish your pirate network and build your own empire on your journey to dominate the Indian Ocean.

Skull and Bones doesn’t have a release date yet, but rumors state it may arrive this November.
