It had only been a day since Ubisoft took some of their games off of Steam, and now, in a surprise move, they have brought up their games on Origin.
Added in are The Crew, Assassin’s Creed Unity, and Far Cry 4, but also older installments of Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry, as well as Rayman Legends, Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell Conviction and Blacklist, and Rayman Legends.
It should be noted that Ubi’s older library remains in Steam, including many of the same older games they just put up in Origin.
This can only be interpreted as a move away from Steam. However, by signing up with rival EA on their DRM platform, Ubisoft is also tacitly acknowledging their own platform, Uplay, isn’t viable, and they’re willing to give it up for a more solid PC presence.
