Talawa Games’ puzzle-platformer Unmechanical nabbed the prizes for “Best Game” and “Best Sound” at last week’s Brazilian International Games Festival. The Unreal Engine powered title impressed a judging panel consisting of fellow developers (including Obsidian’s Chris Avellone) and beat off competition from some other impressive indie titles.

Unmechanical was nominated for “Best Game” alongside Tiny & Big, Papo & Yo, Awesomenauts and Capsized.

“Thank you BIG Festival for the prizes Best Game & Best Sound, for giving us the opportunity to exchange experiences, share ideas, and for all of us to keep on making great games!,” the developers wrote in a statement on their official site.

As someone who gave the game 9/10 in his review, I’d say the awards are well-deserved.
