V-Rally 4 will Feature Split-Screen Multiplayer

Back in the 90s and early 2000s, split-screen multiplayer matches were all the rage. But, for quite a few years now, online multiplayer has been the main way that gamers have played together. As technology has gotten more advanced and Internet access has become more prevalent, the number of people playing online together has naturally grown. As a result, many developers have opted to simply include online multiplayer as the one and only form of multiplayer in their games, leaving local multiplayer modes to now be considered a rarity. That’s not stopping the devs behind the upcoming V-Rally 4, though.

The team recently confirmed via a tweet that V-Rally 4 will indeed include split-screen multiplayer with more details surrounding this mode coming at a later date:

This is a cool inclusion. Online multiplayer might be big nowadays, but some people still prefer some split-screen action. For some, it’s really the only form of multiplayer they can take advantage of since their Internet connection might be limited or nonexistent. So, it’s always good when developers do something like this.

V-Rally 4 is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One in September 2018. A Nintendo Switch version is also in the works and will be released at a later date.
