V Rising Expansion

V Rising is getting a free expansion that upgrades the magic system

Spellslingers.

V Rising is that vampire game of every vampire lord’s dreams, one where you get to pillage villages and humans for loot and blood. As V Rising remains in Early Access, the developer is routinely pushing out some free updates for players to enjoy, and the latest expansion will introduce some more spell variety for the slaying of foes. There already are a decent amount of spells to test out and try against the numerous enemies and bosses in the game, but this update will prove to make the system even more bountiful.

This includes the addition of jewels, which are items that will allow you to modify and enhance spells. Jewels will allow you to tailor your spells in a multitude of different directions. Whether or not you turn into a bulldozer who rushes down anyone in your path, or a more secretive assassin waiting from the shadows is up to you. The developer is looking toward the jewel system as a means to promote freedom and reward creativity, allowing you to slot a jewel into each spell that cannot be dropped on death.

A free expansion is coming to V Rising

These changes to spells will headline the free expansion for V Rising, currently slated to release in May 2023. As stated by the developer, “this update will primarily be about strengthening our foundations with new ways to live out the Vampire fantasy. To us, this means enhancing the way you already play by giving you more of what you already love, but it also means adding more layers of depth and complexity to the world to masterfully tie things together.”

Players are able to submit feedback about new and existing additions through an official survey listed here. More information about the May 2023 expansion for V Rising will release in the future, so stay tuned for more news and bloodsucking action.
