It's a real bat-tlefield.
Vampire Survivors Latest Update Bat Country Challenge Mode

A new update for Vampire Survivors has introduced a variety of new content. This is the first update of 2023 for the popular wave-based rogue-lite game.

The biggest addition of Patch 1.3.0 is the new challenge stage, Bat Country. As its name suggests, Bat Country is a challenge stage flooded with bat-type enemies. Individually, these bats aren’t overly strong and don’t provide much XP gain. However, you’ll be up against an awful lot of them, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed if you make any mistakes.

In this new challenge stage, you’ll be able to find two new relics. Once found, these relics will unlock two new abilities, Charm and Mortaccio’s morph. The Charm PowerUp increases the number of enemies that spawn by two per rank. At its max rank of Level 5, it will spawn an extra 100 enemies every wave. Meanwhile, Mortaccio’s morph will see Mortaccio transform into Goshadokuro after reaching level 80.

Vampire Survivors update adds new relics, achievements, and won’t be the last

Completionist players will be interested in the latest update for Vampire Survivors – -with three new achievements for you to unlock. These achievements are Apoplexy, Bat Country, and Chaos Malachite. The Bat Country achievement requires to you reach Level 80 in Inverse Mad Forest. Meanwhile, Apoplexy and Chaos Malachite can be unlocked by collecting both of the new relics.

Indie developer Luca “poncle” Galante began working on Vampire Survivors in 2020. Since its release, the roguelike game has received numerous updates. Its version 1.0 launch was only in October 2022, but even since then, Vampire Survivors has received three major updates and a fully featured DLC. You can be certain that this update is just one of many to come as poncle has shown no sign of slowing down development.
