A couple of days ago Petroglyph revealed that their 5v5 WWII strategy is back and in development. Today they have released the first video which explains how the game actually works and what it takes to win a game through objectives.

The idea is to seize objectives which accumulate victory points to win a match. Players can also capture resupply points and head to safe zones to heal units which should lengthen the battle times.

There are also secondary objectives which have to captured and then held. These can be contested so it’s a capture and hold situation and these secondary objectives have a cool-down and can not be recaptured for a a time. These objectives
are really important because they all have special functions such as the radar dish which will remove fog of war revealing enemy units, the communication centre will slow the enemy’s victory point accumulation, and there’s a helipad which reduces casting time for the extraction ability. These are just a few examples given and features such as this are making the game sound a little more interesting and strategic.
