The much-rumoured addition of Volus characters (those rotund, wheezy chaps from the single player game) to Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode has been confirmed with the release of the latest free DLC package. ‘Retaliation’ adds two playable Volus as ultra rare characters to be unlocked: the Volus Adept and the Volus Engineer.
Retaliation is available today, to download through Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Origin (on PC). The PSN release may be tomorrow for those of you in Europe, because it tends to work like that.
As well as playable Volus, Retaliation adds the Collectors as a new enemy faction, a couple of new weapons and some environmental hazards to certain maps.
