War Thunder Ground Forces beta gets underway

Gaijin continue the expansion of their online title War Thunder with the start of a limited closed beta for the Ground Forces expansion which adds tanks to the action.

The beta test has now been opened to a limited pool of players to test the tank combat and new progression system.

“Our ultimate goal is to have hundreds of thousands of individual games made up of dozens of players who can experience intense battles where they come from the skies, the land and eventually from the sea,” said Anton Yudintsev, CEO, Gaijin Entertainment. “The launch of Ground Forces Expansion closed beta is another step towards that goal.”

Gaijin are also offering special “advanced packs” through their website which will include beta exclusive tanks and other goodies. These will also grant access to the beta later this month.

M4A2 Sherman Starter Pack (49.99 USD/EEUR)

  • Exclusive M4A2 Sherman, captured by the German forces, that will be available only for the owners of this pack;

War Thunder is a pretty decent F2P military action title which currently features aircraft and it’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already. Perhaps this new trailer will pique your interest.
