Gaijin has been busy working away on their World War game mode for War Thunder and today that have announced the start of the closed beta.
Invites are going out to select War Thunder squadrons and the gameplay testing will start today, 11 July. More invites will be going out in the future to those that applied according to Gaijin.
This new World War game mode will have squadrons fighting for global domination with all strategic battles have an overall impact on a global map. Players will have to select an operation on the map which are all based on real WWII operations. Each of these operations has certain victory conditions for each side will need to hold sectors on the map with their armies. This new mode and its operations are an RTS experience which Gaijin call a “game within a game”.
