The rat-men are in need of removal once again, as Warhammer: Vermintide 2 prepares for its third season. While the second season certainly had its ups and downs, developer Fatshark hopes that the new additions for the third season will fare better. New content available now in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 includes even more cosmetics, changes to the Weaves experience, and even more weather changes to outdoor arenas. The headliner for season three, however, has to be the new career for Markus Kruber.
Wield the power
As one of the five playable heroes, players could send Kruber down the path of a Mercenary, Huntsman, or Foot Knight. His new calling is the Grail Knight, a Bretonnian Warrior that loves nothing more than smashing rats in the face. Melee combat can be done via two new weapon types, either with a Bretonnian Longsword or the trusty sword-and-shield combo. The active ability to wield a magical sword will also come in handy when facing the mobs.
Kruber seems to have obtained this power via the Grail from the Lady of the Lake, but the fun doesn’t stop there. If you manage to complete various quests as part of your vow, the Lady will grant buffs to your party. Each completed objective will grant you one buff, which will make battles easier in Warhammer: Vermintide 2.
Of course, getting access to this new career requires some sacrifice. Namely, you’ll need to purchase it from the in-game shop or through Steam. A bundle containing the new career, more cosmetics, and more in-game currency is also available.
Alongside this new addition comes a long list of fixes and tweaks. Fatshark has made changes to both weapons and heroes. The different levels in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 have also been looked at and tweaked. Lastly, the devs have implemented several general quality-of-life changes as part of patch 126.96.36.199.
