The Call of Duty: Warzone gas mask bug has returned in Season Three

An unwanted throwback.
Warzone Gas Mask Bug

It’s fair to say that Call of Duty: Warzone has suffered its fair share of bugs and glitches. The lethal gas which closes in as the match progresses has been a source of numerous issues. This includes the infinite stim glitch which seems to make a return from time to time. Now that Call of Duty: Warzone Season Three is well underway, one of the most infamous bugs has returned. A bug which caused gas masks to be unbreakable was prominent early on in Warzone. Once again, players are encountering this issue while playing.

A clip was posted on the Warzone Reddit page showing the glitch in action. In the clip, the player is spectating a fellow Warzone player on their team. You do not have to wait long to realize that the player was running around inside of the gas without taking any damage. Their gas mask does not expire, allowing them to freely run around inside the gas without any consequences. As you can see, the gas mask icon just keeps on refreshing.

Here we go again

The return of the gas mask bug in Warzone could result in big issues returning to Verdansk. Similar to the infinite stim glitch, players can just hide in the gas and potentially get a free victory. A similar strategy was taken up by cheaters that involved using the infinite stim glitch to lurk their way to victory. The response to the bug has not been welcomed positively by the Warzone community. Hopefully its prevalence will not increase.

It will be interesting to see if Raven Software provides a response to the Warzone gas mask bug by rolling out a fix in a future patch. Until then, you can keep up with the bugs that the developers are working on using the official Warzone Trello Board.

New Gas Mask exploiter. No stim needed this time.
