NCsoft has launched the first public test servers in the west for players of its MMO Aion.

Gamers keen to test proposed upcoming changes to Aion will be able to join the PTS and make characters of either faction.
The first patch to be put through its paces is v1.9, which contains a significant boost to XP and Abyss Points gain, crafting/gathering and item drop rates. Other updates include enhanced grouping services, a weapon rental service and more daily quests.
The servers will go live 17:00 CET on Thursday 29 April, the client is available to download from Fileplanet for gamers in the US or GamersHell for Europeans.
