The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom presents the player with a version of Hyrule with abundant wildlife, from plants to animals. A lot of what you’ll find appeared previously in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and it shows up again here like an old friend. Some plants and animals are more welcome than others. Here is our guide telling you where to find Mighty Thistle in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – where to find Mighty Thistle

Although you can find Mighty Thistle in multiple locations around Hyrule, there are a few standout spots that best justify your effort. You can find Mighty Thistle along Piper Ridge, above Koto Pond, and in the areas around Lakeside Stable. We’ll provide maps pointing to each location below, along with a word on what you should expect to find.

Piper Ridge

Piper Ridge is easily the best single place to go when you need Mighty Thistle in a hurry. It’s particularly plentiful there. My preferred way to approach is to head west across Tabantha Great Bridge from Tabantha Bridge Stable. Then I ascend the ridge to my right shortly before the enemy encampment in that direction. Along the ridge, there are 11 or so Mighty Thistle growing around the small body of water.

Koto Pond

You can find several Mighty Thistle around the Koto Pond area, up on a higher slope. The fastest way to get there is to use the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower. Then you can float right down to your farming area at the base of Mount Taran.

Lakeside Stable

In the areas around Lakeside Stable, you can find more Mighty Thistle. It grows along Guchini Plain to the west, for instance. The stable is a handy reference point because you can fast travel to Joju-u-u Shrine when you need to get there fast. However, there’s not really a dense concentration of the thistle nearby.

Mighty Thistle grows in places not mentioned above, but finding it won’t reward your effort as quickly unless you’re already nearby for other reasons.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on the Nintendo Switch.
