Where to shoot the mark of the king in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Riddle me this.

Many of the quests in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have interesting puzzles to solve on your own. One such puzzle is a riddle you must solve from an ancient slate during the main quest in the Zora Domain. In the Tears of the Kingdom quest called ‘Clues to the Sky’, Link needs to figure out where to shoot the mark of the king. This will unlock the way to the Water Temple, which is vital for completing the main quest. We’ll explain where and how to complete this puzzle.

Once you find King Dorephan, he tells you that the mark of the king is one of his scales. But you’ll need to Fuse an arrow to it and shoot somewhere to solve this puzzle. Where is this ‘Land of the Sky Fish’, and where is this ‘droplet’?

With your brand new Zora Armor, you can reach the Land of the Sky Fish. Head to the island shown on the map, and upon closer inspection you should see a waterfall flowing from it. This is the ‘watery bridge’ from the riddle. Wearing the Zora Armor, swim up the waterfall.

This will take you to Floating Scales Island. I recommend that you have some Splash Fruit, or a water-spewing weapon. This is because there will be sludge across the island, and clearing it makes it easier to traverse.

Now, on this island, look off the southwest side on the fish’s left fin. You should spot a floating rock in the shape of a water droplet. Pull back your bowstring, then Fuse the King’s Scale onto your arrow. Shoot through the water droplet, and let it work its magic. You can now return to Sidon after figuring out where to shoot the mark of the king in Tears of the Kingdom!
