Does the Holy Cedar Tablet decision matter in Diablo 4?
Diablo 4 has a few puzzles and tricky side quests, but not very many choices. However, within 15 minutes of the game, you’ll need to make a decision on which Holy Cedar Tablet word to pick. The good news is that this decision doesn’t really matter.

Once you open the Holy Cedar Tablets menu, you’ll see an option for fear, anger, pride, greed, or nothing. What you need to know is there are no consequences for picking any word over another.
After picking a word and throwing it into the fire, the only thing that’ll happen is a few different voice lines. Besides, that the Holy Cedar Tablet choice doesn’t matter. It’s just another way to roleplay your specific character, similar to how you can pet dogs.
When I played through the Holy Cedar Tablets section, I selected to inscribe nothing because I’m playing a Necromancer who I want to be cold, calculated, and not afraid of anything. As you play through with whatever class you picked, the Holy Cedar Tablets choice is just an opportunity to play how your Diablo 4 character would act.
