Witcher 2 Developers Explain Video Leak

CD Projekt RED has issued a statement regarding the Witcher 2 footage that appeared earlier last night. The Witcher 2 footage, which you can see here, shows off an early build of the title with what sounds like placeholder voice acting. Based on a statement issued on the official Witcher forums, the video appears to be something used by the developers to convince publishers that the title is worth picking up.”Of course, we can’t and won’t try to deny the facts,” said CD Projekt RED CEO Adam Kicinski in the statement. “The movie that appeared on the various sites yesterday presents our newest project, The Witcher 2, which we’ve been working on for some time. We made something about half a year ago, to present the first playable version of the game.””Currently we are looking for a potential publisher (or publishers) for this title, and this leak is an uncontrolled side effect of that process. For today, we are not commenting on anything that concerns the game itself.”The statement then notes that more information about the game itself will be revealed when the game is officially announced. We hope someone picks it up soon, because The Witcher was great.
