The action-adventure RPG genre shows signs that ancient Chinese martial arts is the way to go. There are more than a number of games coming out within the next year that incorporate similar slices of history as well as the inclusion of mixed martial arts and a dash of mythology. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty brings that and the pedigree Team Ninja is known for. To put some of the polish and visuals into perspective, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty now has PC hardware requirements live.

CPU system requirements

From what has been shown so far, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty looks like it will have some snappy combat and monstrous enemies. The Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty PC requirements detail just how taxing these animations and action will be on your gaming rig. For starters, it doesn’t look like your CPU won’t need a ton of horsepower. Intel users minimally will need a Intel Core i5-8400 and a Core i7-8700 or higher for recommended. AMD users on the other hand will need a Ryzen 5 3400G (built in GPU) for minimum settings and a Ryzen 5 3600XT or higher for recommended.

If you’ve blessed your system with more than 8GB of RAM, you should be safe. The minimum requirement, as is the way with many new games, is 8 GB of RAM with 16 GB recommended.

GPU and higher resolutions

For Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the GPU PC requirements don’t seem like they’re going to break the bank. NVIDIA users will find that even a GTX 1650 (4GB) can run the game. Granted, those are at the minimum specs for 720p and 30 fps. However, for 1080p and 60 fps performance, an RTX 2060 (6GB) is recommended. AMD users will also find that an RX 570 (4GB) can hit the minimum specs mark, with an RX 5700 XT (8GB) ready and primed for 1080p and 60 fps.

Those who invested in a last-gen card during the limited GPU availability should find comfort in knowing they can still play newer releases.

Many of the requirements for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty point to performance in the 1080p/720p resolution. However, a note at the bottom of the PC requirements detail what players can expect for 4K. Team Ninja details that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty can run at a stable 4K and 60 fps with an RTX 3080 (12GB). The only caveat here is that this is with the graphics settings set to “Standard.” Of course, not every system is the same, and this doesn’t include 1440p and various other tweaks.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is set to release on March 3. It’ll be available on Steam and the Microsoft Store.
