World Of Warcraft Burning Crusade Classic Is Coming Later This Year (2)

Blizzard has an eye on the past despite its march into the future. Following the success of 2019’s World of Warcraft Classic, the team is looking to recapture some of that classical magic in the form of World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic. Soon, players will be able to return to a more dangerous and yet mundane Azeroth, without the burden of too many expansions and years of changes. Even with an earlier leak, the anticipation remains high for players of the MMORPG.

Although leaks revealed the expansion early, Blizzard officially detailed World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic during BlizzConline 2021. It sounds like it will be just how players remember it. A set of servers will give you the chance to venture beyond the Dark Portal. The landmass of the Outlands awaits, just like going back to 2007.

Players will have a new level cap of 70. Adventures bring you to familiar areas such as Hellfire Peninsula and Zangermarsh. The expansion for the classic formula also comes with its upgrades that were much appreciated back in the day.

Flying mounts, jewelcrafting, the addition of both the Draenei and the Blood Elves, and the ability to play as a Shaman or Paladin will trigger some sweet nostalgia.

Just like the good old days

If you have been hoping to relive the past, this is definitely the way to do that. The servers will function just the same as 14 years ago. Updates in the form of new raids and dungeons will be rolled out over time. You do not even have to pay extra, as World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic is part of your regular subscription to the MMORPG.

Players do have to make a choice though. You will need to decide if you want your Classic characters to remain at level 60 in the original World of Warcraft Classic, or make the move to the new content.

The arrival of World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic has no release date yet. Blizzard has stated that a beta will begin soon.
