Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft will be getting it’s own in-game browser.

When WoW was first released there were a few third-party applications that would overlay the game giving access to a browser in-game and now Blizzard has decided to add it’s own support for such a system.

Blizzard says that they want players to have access to their “robust knowledge base and support contact system” to make it easier for players to find information and to contact their game reps. The feature will be tested in the 5.3 public test.

It’s not clear what the browser will be able to access at the moment, whether it will only give access to Blizzard resources or other third-party websites but what it sounds like they are aiming for is a reduction in support tickets.
