XCOM: Enemy Unknown Tapped for an April 24th Android Launch

After releasing in the Apple App Store, it was only a matter of time before XCOM: Enemy Unknown made its way to the Google Play Marketplace. Get ready to slaughter some aliens and save the Earth as the game is releasing in just a few days, April 24th to be exact.

The news comes via the XCOM facebook page. The trailer, which was posted just this morning, teases a launch date and the Android alien. The touch platform seems like an easy transition for a turn-based-strategy shooter.

The news of the launch follows the most recent big announcement during PAX East that developer, Firaxis Games, will be handling the upcoming Sid Meier title, Civilization: Beyond Earth.

It is uknown the role in which the studio has taken with the Android version being that Feral Games handled the OSX versions. Stay tuned for further information and pricing as it comes.
