Best TAQ Evolvere loadout for MW3 Warzone

Did they forget to give this weapon recoil?

The best thing about Season refreshes is we get shiny new toys to play with. Season 1: Reloaded is no exception, bringing a host of new guns, including the TAQ Evolvere. If you’re trying to build your own, here’s the best TAQ Evolvere loadout for MW3 Warzone.

Best TAQ Evolvere LMG build in MW3 Warzone

The TAQ Evolvere is a unique LMG as it’s light on recoil and is easy to control right out of the box. Our attachment choices build into this theme and increase the weapon’s lethality at range.

TAQ Evolvere Attachments

  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Ammunition: 7.62X51MM High Grain Rounds
  • Rear Grip: PGRIP AIM*
  • Muzzle: Shadowstrike Suppressor
  • Stock: Rampart Heavy Stock

At the time of writing, the TAQ Evolvere has bugged Rear Grip attachments. You can use them, but the names are definitely incorrect. I’ve included the placeholder name, but it’s the first in the list.

Slate Reflector

While I think the TAQ Evolvere feels great without an Optic, it does help for long-range engagements. The Slate Reflector is one of the best Optics in MW3 and is easy to use. Feel free to run a magnifying Optic if you struggle with distant opponents.

7.62X51MM High Grain Rounds

The TAQ Evolvere’s low recoil makes it an ideal candidate for long-range combat, but you must lead your shots. The High Grain Rounds ammunition dramatically increases Bullet Velocity and Damage Range. The increased Velocity means you don’t need to predict your opponent’s movements as much. We take a Recoil Control penalty to use this ammunition, but it’s not a big deal on this weapon.

Rear Grip

While the name is bugged, the Rear Grip I’ve picked is the first on the list. The Rear Grip gives a straight 10% buff to all Recoil Control stats, making the TAQ Evolvere even easier to handle. The ADS Movement Speed penalty rarely comes into play, especially at range.

Shadowstrike Suppressor

I’m torn with the Muzzle attachment for this LMG. The VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor L grants sound suppression and some Recoil Control buffs but comes with a 14% ADS speed penalty. The mobility decrease is noticeable, so I’ve gone with the Shadowstrike Suppressor. I urge you to play around with this attachment, but I value snappy ADS speed, hence the choice.

Rampart Heavy Stock

Finally, we use the Rampart Heavy Stock for huge buffs to recoil control. This attachment immediately improves the TAQ Evolvere and only has minor downsides. I usually avoid ADS Speed penalties whenever possible, but I’ll take a 2.2% hit for 12%+ buff to every recoil control stat.

Best Secondary for the TAQ Evolvere

Since the TAQ Evolvere takes care of mid-long range engagements quite nicely, I recommend something with stopping power up close in your secondary slot. The WSP Swarm is a dominating force as an SMG. If you prefer your fights with a personal touch, check out our Shotgun guide for several builds.

Best Grenades and Perk Package

  • Tactical: Smoke Grenade
  • Lethal: Semtex

The Smoke Grenade is hands down the best throwable in Warzone. Nothing else comes close to its utility, as you can create cover out of thin air. Pick your favorite Lethal, but you can’t go wrong with the classic Semtex or Frag Grenades.

  • Scavenger
  • Battle Hardened
  • Tempered
  • High Alert

I’ve opted for a hyper-aggressive Perk Package with this build. Tempered provides a massive bonus to our plate economy and reduces our downtime when re-plating. High Alert is ridiculously strong in MW3 Warzone. The ability to know when you’re being looked at is too good to pass up, and you can usually challenge distant targets that trigger the perk.

If you’re looking for more versatile weapons to build, why not take the RAM-7 for a spin? Check out our guide for an excellent build.
