Dan Heng is a Hunt character, meaning he specializes in single-target damage. This makes him an ideal character to bring for boss fights, where AoE damage is not as necessary or prevalent. Fortunately, as a free character, Dan Heng is pretty easy to gear up. You’ll want a mix of Crit Rate and Crit Damage to keep his damage numbers high and boost his other offensive stats like Attack.

For Dan Heng’s Relic set, prioritize the 4-piece Eagle of Twilight Line set. This set boosts Dan Heng’s Wind DMG by 10%, as well as advancing his action forward by 25% after using his Ultimate. Alternatively, you can use the 4-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat set, which boosts his ATK by 12%, his SPD by 6%, and his Basic Attack damage by 10%. For more offensive prowess, you can also mix the Eagle of Twilight Line and Musketeer of Wild Wheat set. For his 2-piece relic, use the Inert Salsotto set, which boosts his Crit Rate by 8% and buffs his Ultimate damage.

The best light cone for Dan Heng is Seele’s signature weapon, In the Night. This weapon boosts the wearer’s Crit Rate by a significant 18%, as well as increasing his damage with a medley of Basic Attack, Skill, and Crit DMG buffs. For free-to-play players, there is actually a 5-star weapon you can obtain for free that will provide similar results. The Cruising in the Stellar Sea Light Cone is available from clearing Herta’s Simulated Universe and increases the wearer’s Crit Rate by a significant margin as well as their ATK.

Dan Heng’s Eidolons provide him with a number of offensive buffs, as well as tools to help him attack more frequently. His Eidolons buff his Crit Rate on E1, the slow on his Elemental Skill on E6, as well as giving him Advanced Forward by 100% after using his Ultimate on E4.
