How to find Coal and Charcoal locations in Palworld

Palworld has both Coal and Charcoal present for different items and structures that you’ll need for your progression. Against what most may think, they are not interchangeable, so you’ll need to know how to get both of them.
How to get Charcoal in Palworld
Charcoal in Palworld is used for a few things, but most importantly it’s used for the creation of Gunpowder, the main ingredient for making bullets. you will end up needing an endless supply of the stuff to keep your armory stocked with ammunition.
Thankfully, Charcoal is very easy to make. All it requires is two Wood to make one, and it can be crafted at any of the Furnaces, from Primitive to Electric.
As you will need a huge supply of Charcoal for Gunpowder, it’ll be worth building a Logging Site with some Lumbering Pals to keep up your supply of Wood. As long as you have a great Wood income, you’ll be able to assign a Pal with the Kindling ability to keep refining the Wood into Charcoal.

Where to find Coal in Palworld
Coal is needed for the more advanced Furnaces, as it’s used chiefly in the creation of Refined Ingots for more advanced weaponry and ammunition. Coal cannot be produced like Charcoal, obviously, so you’ll have to go and find Coal deposits.
Coal can be found in hot regions and they’ll all contain 50 Coal each. In the very northwest of the map is a huge hot desert island with an abundance of the stuff. You can also find Coal in a small pocket region close to the center of the map.
Make sure to bring the Heat Resistant variant of your armor when venturing into these regions, as the heat will kill you.
It may be worth to build a Base, even a temporary one, to keep Coal mining at a premium if you find a good spot with numerous Coal deposits. Whenever your stockpile of Coal is lacking, you can always set up the base again to fill your coffers.
