Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous — Final Veil puzzle guide

The fourth puzzle.

There are several locations that you need to visit as part of the Secrets of Creation quest in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. One of these is the Core of the Riddle, which happens to have its own puzzle. Here’s our Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Final Veil puzzle guide to help you solve the task as part of Secrets of Creation Heart of Mystery.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Final Veil puzzle and Bone Hills guide

Similar to the original puzzle in Conundrum Unsolved, you’ll use slab items (i.e., blocks with symbols). The user interface is atrocious because it’s hard to actually discern what these symbols look like in your inventory before you place them down. As such, we’ll try our best to provide screenshots, but we’ll also include our own naming convention for some symbols.

In any case, the Final Veil area in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous can be found in the Wounded Lands region. Before you go there, though, you’ll want to check out the Bone Hills. This small cavern has a lone enemy mob, but trying to follow it will cause its buddies to ambush you. Be ready for that fight and take out the hostiles. When you’re done, go ahead and claim the slabs from the ornate chest.

Go to Final Veil and place the single blocks along the edge of the puzzle grid. The clue here is somewhat akin to what you’ve seen before: the single blocks denote where certain symbols are allowed:

  • Left-hand side – E, F, Z, and Pound.
  • Right-hand side – E, F, and Z.
  • Top-middle portion – F and Scissor.

Because the Pound and Scissor symbols don’t necessarily appear in other sections, you’ll realize that they should only be placed in specific locations. For instance, the Pound can only be in the center of the grid, whereas the Scissor has to be in the top-middle rows.

Place these slabs accordingly, and, with a bit of trial and error, you’ll be able to plop down the remaining symbols that have matches. You can see the completed Final Veil puzzle in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous in the image below.

Go ahead and grab the Elven Notes and Rushlight fauchard from the small room that just opened up. Lastly, don’t forget to visit Legacy of the Ancients, which has another objective that can only be completed in Act 5.
