Liberation is the sixth mission in Sniper Elite 5‘s campaign. Though the Allies have managed to land on the shores of France, advancing forward wasn’t an easy task. Germans have managed to fortify a town, and it’s up to Fairburne to clear the defenses. Still, you might want to eliminate a particular target for a weapon unlock and extra XP. Here’s our Sniper Elite 5 Liberation Kill List guide to help you take out Jann Trautmann in Mission 6.

Sniper Elite 5 – Liberation Kill List guide (Mission 6 – Jann Trautmann)
Jann Trautmann, your Liberation Kill List target in Sniper Elite 5, can be found in a small building in the southwest portion of the map. The challenge requires you to assassinate him using poison.
Before heading to Trautmann’s villa, you might as well tag the first Workbench in this mission, as it’s fairly close. In any case, once you arrive at the location, you’ll see two guards chatting in the yard. There’s another one in the barn and a fourth soldier at the back entrance.
Note: If Trautmann is alerted, he’ll act on his own and you won’t be able to do the challenge requirement. As such, it’s imperative that you employ silent melee takedowns on the guards, as opposed to gunshots that could easily be heard. And try to stay crouched while moving, too.
After you’ve taken care of Trautmann’s goons, check the first floor. You can pick up the bottle of poison from a box right next to the staircase.
On the second floor, you’ll hear Trautmann monologuing incessantly. While he’s doing that, interact with the glass to put poison in it (as you can see in this guide’s featured image). Then, interact with the bell to ring it.
To avoid getting spotted, you can hang from the balcony’s windowsill while your target is exiting the room. In a few seconds, he’ll drink the poison and succumb to its effects.
This will complete the Jann Trautmann Liberation Kill List task in Sniper Elite 5. You’ll receive the Model D for your efforts.
