Tears of the Kingdom: Where to find Zelda’s secret room in Link’s house

Ever since Link saved Zelda in Breath of the Wild, Link’s house in Hateno Village was taken over by her. If you visit that house again in Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll notice that it’s more like Zelda’s house now. But with her gone, and Link reading her diary, you can discover that she had a secret room built for her. Where is Zelda’s secret room in Link’s Hateno Village home?

Once you arrive back in Hateno Village, visit your old house, and read Zelda’s diary by the bed. She goes on to explain how she has been revitalizing Hyrule, starting with Hateno Village. Not only that, but Zelda hired Hudson to build her a secret room on the property. This was due to her needing a quiet place to work. But where can you find this secret room?

It’s not exactly inside the house. If you walk outside to the backyard, you should see a well. Every well you find in Tears of the Kingdom will have something special beneath them, so climb down. This is where Zelda’s secret room is, and there are some interesting things inside.

By her desk, if you open the chest, you’ll receive Link’s ‘Well-Worn Hair Band’ that he wore in Breath of the Wild. It doesn’t have any defense rating, but if you’re sick of his mangy locks, pull them back with this hairpiece. On the desk is another of Zelda’s diaries. This one includes more information on how Link has been especially kind to her after her rescue.

On another page, she details how she wants to surprise him with a new Champion’s Tunic, which is now the Champion Leathers. Zelda also says that they’re in the throne room, but since she’s not around right now, you’re free to go find them. This will start the quest called ‘A New Champion’s Tunic’.
