To break the Seal of the Banished, you need to go to the Abyss Foscari stage with Eleanor. If you don’t have the Abyss Foscari stage unlocked, you need to unlock it by breaking the Seal of the Lake.

With Eleanor, you first need to head towards the Prismatic Missile on the map. This is marked on your map on the southwest side. After picking that up, continue west toward the Stone Mask and Attractorb icons which are on your map.

When you are near the Stone Mask and Attractorb icons, you’ll see a blue emerald, similar in appearance to the Seal of the Lakes. This is the Seal of the Banished.

To break the Seal of the Banished, you must hit the blue emerald with SpellStorm, an evolved form of Eleanor’s base weapon. You cannot break the seal without this weapon, so make sure you have it before heading in its direction.

In order to evolve Elanor’s base weapon, SpellString, into SpellStorm, you must get two other weapons: SpellStream and SpellStrike. You earn these weapons by raising Eleanor’s level to 10 and 20 respectively, so just focus on leveling as you make your way towards the Seal’s part of the map.

When the seal is broken the final boss of the Tides of Foscari DLC, Je-Ne-Viv, will appear, so get ready for a fight. What’s more, even if you don’t beat this boss, simply breaking the Seal unlocks the ability to buy Genevieve Gruyere in the main menu.
