Making the most of it.

Wild Hearts has a lot of features to lose yourself in as you start to play the game. Some of these features include upgrading your Karakuri, which we have a guide on efficiently doing at the start of the game. Another feature that rears its head early in the game is the Dragon Pits. Dragon Pits are the way you increase the amount of Dragon Karakuri available in any area. How to enlarge Dragon Pit size in Wild Hearts

Enlarging Dragon Pits in Wild Hearts is relatively easy: you collect the needed materials for increasing the Dragon Pit, then use them at that specific Dragon Pit. There are two ways of enlarging Dragon Pits, though. You can either walk up to them in-game and enlarge them there and then, or do it from the map screen. This means that if you walk past a Dragon Pit and don’t have the required materials yet, you can actually do it later without worrying about tracking it back down. This is an incredibly handy feature.

When it comes to the materials needed for enlarging Dragon Pits, these vary. For example, the first region, Harugasami Way, requires Mist Crystals among other things to activate and enlarge Dragon Pits. Due to the nature of the game having multiple regions however, every region has region specific materials that are needed for enlarging Dragon Pits.

The effects of enlarging Dragon Pits

The effects of enlarging Dragon Pits are relatively straightforward. Enlarging Dragon Pits allows you to place more Dragon Karakuri in the area surrounding that particular Dragon Pit. For instance, if you can’t place any more Flying Vine, you probably need to enlarge the corresponding Dragon Pit.

Enlarging Dragon Pit is a vital component of succeeding Wild Hearts if you plan to use Dragon Karakuri often. It’s something you should consider doing when considering how convenient they make getting around the map.
