How to get Small Mist Crystals in Wild Hearts

A useful crystal.

One of the earliest things you’re going to be doing in Wild Hearts is activating Dragon Pits. To activate these, you’re going to need a bunch of materials that you might not have at your disposal. You can use Dragon Pits to increase the amount of Dragon Karakuri you can place in any given area. This means it’s important to enlarge your Dragon Pits to make sure there is never a time where you need a Flying Viper but can’t place one down. That’s why it’s necessary to know where to find the right ingredients. Therefore, here’s our guide on how to get Small Mist Crystals in Wild Hearts.

How to get Small Mist Crystals in Wild Hearts

The way to get Small Mist Crystals in Wild Hearts is relatively simple: they spawn around the area on Harugasami Way. As you walk around Harugasami Way, you should find yourself plenty of these crystals. So don’t fret about not having enough to go around right at the beginning of the game, because you’ll find them as you grind your way through the island’s kemono.

The areas where you can find Small Mist Crystals include sites with branches stemming off them that you can see around the map. An example of these can be seen in the screenshot below.

How many Small Mist Crystals do you need

The number of Small Mist Crystals you need depends on the Dragon Pit you are trying to awaken. Some of the Dragon Pits only need one Small Mist Crystal. Others, however, require two or more of the crystals to awaken.

It’s a good idea to stock up on some Small Mist Crystals, as you’ll need them to unlock Dragon Pits in Harugasami Way. Don’t fret about missing a Dragon Pit however, because you can enlarge Dragon Pits from the map. This means you can play free of worry, and enlarge them whenever you find enough Small Mist Crystals. Activating them is something you do have to track them down to do, however.
