If you’re playing the Diablo 4 Season 3 questline and ran into a bug where the Seneschal Brazier is not working, we know how to fix it for you.
I experienced this annoying glitch myself, and was unable to interact with this Seasonal quest object inside the Gatehall. Here’s how to fix it.
Diablo 4 Season 3: How to fix the Seneschal Brazier glitch
During the “Drums of the Vault” quest in Diablo 4 Season 3, I was asked to upgrade my Seneschal Companion using the Brazier in the Gatehall. Unfortunately, my game would not allow me to interact with this Brazier at all. How you can fix the Seneschal Brazier from not working in Diablo 4 Season 3 is by exiting and re-entering your game.
There is a Reddit post online here where someone else experienced the same issue. Apparently, this same issue has happened in a previous Seasonal quest. Luckily, the fixes are all the same. This is how they were able to easily fix the glitch:
- Head to Options during Character Select from the Main Menu.
- Enable/disable crossplay.
- Hop back into your game and see if it works.
I personally skipped all that and just exited Diablo 4 entirely. The next moment I hopped back into my game it was fixed! I was able to interact with the Brazier and continue the questline. There’s really no reason that either of these solutions shouldn’t work for you.

Unfortunately, it seems like a few players in the replies have had no luck. Someone said they re-logged twice, tried the crossplay trick, and even changed World Tiers. If this happens and you still cannot use the Brazier, try shutting down your PC or console and waiting a minute or two before booting it back up.
If after all that you still cannot interact with the Brazier, you may just have to wait for a hotfix patch from Blizzard. Perhaps log off for awhile and get back to Diablo 4 later and see if that works.
