How to get the Flask in Sons of the Forest

To get the Flask in Sons of the Forest, you’ll need to find a 3D Printer. While there are several on the island, most locations require specific keycards before they can be accessed. Thankfully, there’s one area that you can reach early on (as seen in the image below). If we’re going by points-of-interest on the map, then lets say that the mountains are to the west. The place that you’ll need to go to is the green marker to the east, close to one of the caves.

Go there and you’ll notice a small opening that you can squeeze through. Pass through the hallway and you’ll be in the 3D Printer room. To make the Sons of the Forest Flask, you’ll need 100 ml of Printer Resin. The machine itself has enough, and you’ve probably picked up a few bottles from the crash site, as well as other containers. So, just press “R” on the computer to switch to the Flask blueprint, and press “E” to get that made.

Related: Apart from the Flask, you can 3d-print an assortment of items and tools, such as the Sled, which you can ride downhill or downriver.

In any case, you can use the Flask in Sons of the Forest by equipping it from your inventory. Then, when you’re next to a source of freshwater (i.e., rivers, ponds, or lakes), press “E” to collect water. Since you can bring the Flask with you as you explore, you won’t need to worry about going thirsty in case you’re too far from rivers and other bodies of water.
