All shiny Phantom Echo spawn locations in Wuthering Waves

Shiny hunting just got a whole lot easier.

You can collect special Phantom variants of Echoes in Wuthering Waves similar to shiny Pokemon, but they’re exceptionally rare. Some players have discovered the best Wuthering Waves Phantom Echo spawn locations, though, and you have a good chance of finding a shiny Echo at these spots.

While Phantom Echo spawns aren’t guaranteed, there are a few locations throughout the Wuthering Waves map where they seem much more likely to appear. The spawns reset every day after the server resets, so you can check these locations daily for a chance to add a Phantom Echo to your collection.

Where to Find Every Phantom Echo in Wuthering Waves

There are currently six Phantom Echoes in Wuthering Waves. Two of them are found out in the open world, while the other four can be purchased with reward points from various activities. Here’s where you can get every shiny Phantom Echo in Wuthering Waves.

  • Phantom Hoartoise: Tolling Stream/Thorny Passage
  • Phantom Rocksteady Guardian: Withering Frontline
  • Phantom Feilian Beringal: Adversity Exchange
  • Phantom Impermanence Heron: Depths of Illusive Realm Store
  • Phantom Mourning Aix: Simulation Training Store
  • Phantom Thundering Mephis: Simulation Training Store

Once you obtain a Phantom Echo, you unlock the shiny skin variant for it permanently. You can apply the Phantom effect to any Echo of the same type, so there’s no need to worry about the stat roll for your first Phantom Echo capture. Also, all Phantom Echoes have a 100% drop rate as well, so there’s no way you can lose them if you find one.

Phantom Hoartoise and Phantom Rocksteady Guardian are the only two shiny Echoes that can be found naturally in the open world of Wuthering Waves. Their specific spawn location maps are showcased below. The others are purchased with Data Sets and Hazard Records from Tactical Hologram challenges and Tower of Adversity stages respectively.

Phantom Hoartoise Location

There are two spawn locations for the shiny Phantom Hoartoise Echo in Wuthering Waves. The first spot is the Tolling Stream near the Bell-Borne Geochelone boss west of Jinzhou. There are plenty of Hoartoises along the river, and one of them has a chance to be shiny every day. The Wuthering Waves server resets at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET, so check back every day to see if a Phantom Hoartoise is available.

The second Phantom Hoartoise spawn location is the Thorny Passage north of the Feilian Beringal boss at the very southern edge of the map. There are a few Hoartoises that spawn there every day, and there is a very high chance of one of them being shiny. Just check back daily for a chance to unlock the Phantom Hoartoise Echo.

The only other shiny Echo with a guaranteed overworld spawn is the Phantom Rocksteady Guardian. It is located in the Withering Frontline near the Thundering Mephis boss on the northern side of the map. Rocksteady Guardians are giant creatures, so it’s basically impossible to miss a Phantom version if one spawns. Check back every day after the server resets and you’ll eventually find one.

Remember that Phantom Echoes have a guaranteed drop rate and every player can see them if they’re in the same world, so playing co-op with other people and jumping into each other’s worlds is the best way to maximize your chances of encountering a shiny Phantom Echo. You only need to find one to unlock the Phantom variants permanently, so there are hopefully only a few days of shiny hunting in your future.
